Trying Something New

This week has been a week full of emotions no matter where you fall on the political spectrum. I’m personally feeling a bit disappointed, and trying to retain hope that we have a bright future ahead. I could say a whole lot more than that, but there are many other people who have expressed their disappointment much more eloquently than I ever could. The news of this past week makes me even more excited for a timely new development I’ve been working on for a while now. As many of you know, I’m a huge fan of barre classes, and recently that’s expanded to include pilates and TRX – basically all types of exercise classes involving a mirror and proper form. I’ve seen a huge difference in my health and fitness since I’ve started these, and I’ve also acquired quite a wardrobe. I have a bunch of cute shirts that have fun sayings on them, and it’s fun to read the cute sayings people have on their shirts around class.  The thing is, we spend more than half of the class looking in the mirror, and I get a little annoyed when I can’t read my shirt in the mirror. Plus, sometimes I need a little extra motivation to get through class!shirtsSs over the past couple of months I’ve been designing workout tanks with short motivational sayings that you – and everyone else in class – can read in the mirror, right when you need that extra boost of motivation. These have been such a joy to design myself right here in Nashville (and I’m already working on round 2 of designs!) and they were printed just down the road in Franklin, TN, so these are local-born and bred all the way. I hope these will give some of you the inspiration and motivation they have given me. They’re available for purchase on Etsy, and like I said, I’m already working on round two! I think these sayings are even more important as we’re going through a tough time, so please share these (or consider buying one) for anyone in your life who needs a little extra motivation these days. You may notice that the Etsy shop is called The Strug Lifestyle, which also happens to be the name of the new blog I'm migrating to - it will live at thestruglifestyle.com.  I'll be working on getting that up and running and migrating all my content there, so get ready to follow me there!
