Teacher Training
The Heart of Wisdom Yoga 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training is a Yoga Alliance-registered 200 hour teacher training that introduces students to the history and foundation of Hatha and Vinyasa yoga practices from an anatomical lens, combined with modern considerations for practicing yoga.
This training is rooted in the wisdom of Hatha yoga with the addition of Vinyasa sequences and theory and philosophy from Hatha, Vinyasa, and Katonah traditions. We emphasize teaching in a trauma-informed way and share methods for teaching a wide range of students safely.
Anatomy is the foundation of this training: it is the why behind all the poses, it is what weaves together the components of the subtle body, and it is the vessel through which we practice and experience yoga.
This training is open to students with at least six months of a consistent yoga practice. You do not have to plan to teach after training: this is a chance to learn more about yoga and dive deeper into the eight limbs of yoga. And if you do hope (or plan) to teach, this will set you up with a solid foundation to teach group or private sessions.
Students who complete this training and its program requirements will receive a Certificate of Completion. This certificate enables you to register as a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 200) with Yoga Alliance.
Fall/Winter Training led by Kim Struglinski, E-RYT 500 along with guest teachers.

What past students say about this training…

I believe Heart of Wisdom Yoga School lead by Kim Struglinski to be the most carefully constructed and mindfully curated 200 hour training in the Nashville area. I will never be able to say enough good things about my experience and how well I was prepared to begin to teach. Kim is so thoughtful in her approach and so well prepared and generous with her knowledge. I am grateful that a yoga school like this exists.

My 200 hour at HOW Yoga School was an amazing, holistic experience. Kim is a great leader and teacher, and her focus on anatomy and providing space for your students was core to my learning and in turn, teaching.
